Begging for It

I learned a long time ago never to beg for love

Never to cry or plead for the attention

If they wanted to be with you, they would

The passion would be mutually exclusive

They’d make their desires known,

Yearn for me

So I’ll ask for it in ways I know you’ll say yes

Like placing my hand on your leg

And kissing you slowly

But I want to scream for it.

I want to cry for it.

I want it to be my turn.

I am begging for it.
